1. About this policy
This policy explains how we handle information when you use the FitnessTap app and website. “We” refers to the provider of FitnessTap.
2. Information stored in the app
The app stores the profile information you enter, including age, height, weight, goals, starting point and intensity choices, on your device. It also stores workout history, completed and skipped steps, added rest, effort feedback and preferences. These data support your profile, training records and workout suggestions.
The current version does not upload these profile details or training records to our own server, require account registration, read health-platform data or collect advertising identifiers. Your device’s backup settings may include app data in system backups, subject to the platform’s rules.
3. Network connections and website images
The app supports retrieving a remote workout catalog when configured. Such requests disclose connection information, such as an IP address, to the content server. The website uses externally hosted photographs from images.unsplash.com. Loading them sends your IP address and browser request information to that service. We suppress the Referer header for these images; this does not hide your IP address. See the Unsplash Privacy Policy.
The current website has no registration form, analytics script or advertising script and does not set analytics cookies. Network and hosting providers may process technical connection information when delivering the website.
4. Advertising and analytics
The current version does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. Before introducing processing that changes this policy, we will update the disclosures and provide notice and choices required by applicable law. Reading this policy does not constitute consent to tracking.
5. Health-related information
Profile details and activity involving health-related workout themes can reveal sensitive information. In the current version, these app records remain on your device and are not sent to advertising or analytics services. We do not sell these locally stored records. We will not use health-related information for advertising without authorization required by applicable law.
6. Retention and your controls
You can edit the profile fields and preferences available in the app. Local records generally remain until you delete the app’s data. Offloading an iOS app may preserve its data. Deleting the app does not automatically remove separate system backups; manage those through your device or backup settings.
Depending on applicable law and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your information, withdraw consent, object to or limit processing, opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising, or appeal a rights-request decision. We do not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights. There is no account-based server copy of your local training history in the current version.
7. Security and disclosures
No device, network or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect access to your device and keep its software up to date. Information handled by third-party network or image providers is subject to their practices and may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we are legally required to disclose information we hold, we will do so in accordance with applicable law.
8. Children
FitnessTap is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information through the website.
9. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service or data handling. We will update the date on this page and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. Continued browsing is not blanket consent to new sensitive-data processing.
